Held at the OCA, in Parque do Ibirapuera, the first edition of ArtSampa opened the annual art fair calendar in March 2022 with the participation of more than 50 galleries and institutions, focusing on promoting Brazilian art. But the season is only just beginning, and there are other fairs to keep an eye on until the end of the year. Whether to expand a collection, to invest or simply to appreciate contemporary art, fairs are an excellent opportunity. See which ones are confirmed so far:

SP-Arte | April

It takes place between 6 and 10 April at the Bienal de São Paulo pavilion, also in Parque do Ibirapuera. In this 18th edition, the fair will feature 100 art galleries and 30 design studios, as well as specialist publishers. Tickets are already on sale and the fair's website carries the full list of galleries and artists, and even brings forward the sale of some works, from the most affordable, at around R$ 1,000, to canvases worth millions by Alfredo Volpi and Di Cavalcanti. https://www.sp-arte.com/

ArPa | June

Newcomer ArPa takes place from 1 to 5 June at the Estádio do Pacaembu, in São Paulo, announcing a focus on Brazilian galleries and on the prospect of forming new art collectors. MADE (the Art Market and Design fair) and the Feira do Livro de São Paulo will take place at the same time. https://arpa.art/

ArtRio | September

Run by the same organisers as ArtSampa, ArtRio reaches its 11th edition in September this year. The dates and the venue have not yet been confirmed, but the last five editions were held at the charming Marina da Glória, in central Rio de Janeiro. http://artrio.com
