He has also worked at MASP (São Paulo) and at Instituto Inhotim (Minas Gerais). For Brazilians, Malba is best known as the home of “Abaporu”, the iconic painting by Tarsila do Amaral. Bought by the museum's founder at an auction, it has been in the Argentinian museum since 2001, when the museum opened. About the painting, Moura told [Folha de S. Paulo](https://www1.folha.uol.com.br/ilustrada/2024/11/novo-chefe-do-malba-diz-que-o-abaporu-e-importante-elo-entre-o-brasil-e-a-argentina.shtml#:~:text=O%20brasileiro%20assume%20o%20Malba%20depois%20de%20dirigir,%C3%AAnfase%20%C3%A0%20diversidade%20na%20condu%C3%A7%C3%A3o%20do%20museu%20argentino.) that it is an important link between the artistic circuits of Brazil and Argentina. “The museum deserves to have greater global prominence, promoting Argentinian and Latin American art (…). I hope to keep contributing to bringing the museum's work closer to what we are as a societal experience in Latin America”, he told the newspaper. Malba is also showing, until February 2025, the installation [*Yo, vos y la luna*](https://malba.org.ar/evento/tunga-yo-vos-y-la-luna/) , by Tunga (1952-2016), an artist from Pernambuco whom the museum considers “an essential protagonist of the Brazilian art scene of the late twentieth century”. The last exhibition dedicated to the artist in Buenos Aires had taken place 25 years earlier.
