Alternative art fair reaches its 12th edition in Belo Horizonte

For anyone who enjoys exploring alternative paths in the art market, one tip is to keep an eye on JUNTA, a contemporary art fair which this year reaches its 12th edition in Belo Horizonte. The event will be held on 26 and 27 October and 2 and 3 November, at the Funarte headquarters in Belo Horizonte.

The organisers guarantee that this will be the biggest edition of all, since for the first time the fair has the support of the federal body, through the Programa Funarte de Apoio às ações continuadas 2023 – Eventos artísticos Calendarizados. So much so that, for the first time, there will be a residency for two artists, chosen in a national selection process that received 179 applications (the result will be announced on 23 September).

Artists such as Luana Vitra, Paulo Nazareth, Davi Nascimento, Francisco Nuk and Luis Matuto, among others, have already passed through the fair.
