Brasília fair returns to the calendar

Feira Brasília de Arte Contemporânea

Another event has been confirmed on the national calendar: the Feira Brasília de Arte Contemporânea (FBAC) takes place from 29 June to 3 July at the Espaço Cultural Renato Russo, recently reopened in the Asa Sul district of the Federal Capital.

This will be the second edition of the fair, organised by the gallerist Onice Moraes de Oliveira, and the outlook is one of growth. The first edition, held in 2016, had the participation of 10 art galleries from the city and recorded 12,000 visitors over four days. The new edition has opened a call for 18 galleries from across the country and will have a parallel programme of talks and workshops on art and the market.

The fair has announced two further new features: the creation of a wishlist for the Museu Nacional da República with works identified on the first day of the event, with the aim of encouraging donations to the public institution; and the launch of a website with personalised spaces for the participating galleries, which will stay online for up to 30 days after the event, in order to boost direct contact between visitors and gallerists.
