Art Basel Paris – one of the largest art fairs in the world – occupied the Grand Palais, in the French capital, from 18 to 20 October 2024, bringing together 195 art galleries from every continent, including the Brazilian galleries A Gentil Carioca, Luisa Strina and Nara Roesler. With thousands of artworks on show, the logistics of an event like this are a spectacle in their own right.
Part of this work fell to LP Art, a company belonging to the same international group as Clé Reserva Contemporânea and Art Quality. It was the company chosen by 20 gallerists taking part in Art Basel Paris to transport their collections to the fair site. In all, LP Art collected, packed and transported 550 pieces – an operation that required the mobilisation of 10 lorries and 15 staff, plus 50 installers who worked in shifts so that everything was ready for the opening.
With more than 30 years of experience, LP Art is headquartered in France and operates worldwide through an international network of partners. In addition to transport, the company makes bespoke crates and provides installation, storage, art handling and advice on the temporary import and export of artworks.
