Last year, SP-Arte and SP-Arte Rotas Brasileiras welcomed 40,000 people and, according to their creator, Fernanda Feitosa, the galleries taking part in both events had an average sale value of around R$ 300,000. In total, the two fairs generated R$ 120 million. According to the report, this interest from the public has also boosted demand for *art advisors* , experienced professionals who help new collectors to refine their eye, to look at works worth acquiring, to identify at the very least the material they are made of – a relevant issue when assessing future conservation and restoration needs – among other aspects. The construction of new buildings, whether commercial or residential, also drives the acquisition of artworks for display in communal areas.
