SP-Arte starts ticket sales for Rotas Brasileiras

SP-Arte has just opened ticket sales for the next edition of Rotas Brasileiras, an event focused on Brazilian art and design. The fair will take place from 30 August to 3 September at ARCA, a venue located in Vila Leopoldina, in São Paulo.

According to the organisers, “SP-Arte Rotas Brasileiras celebrates the richness and diversity of Brazilian art of the past, the present and the future, bringing local and global perspectives that are rooted in tradition and, at the same time, dynamic. The fair encompasses customs and cultures that permanently acquire new meanings”.

The diversity is also evident in the line-up of galleries taking part in the event – the list ranges from the long-established Almeida & Dale, Millan and Vermelho to younger spaces based in different regions of the country, notably Cerrado (Goiânia), Lima (São Luís do Maranhão), Marco Zero (Recife), Mitre (Belo Horizonte) and Paulo Darzé (Salvador). In all, there will be 70 exhibitors.

This will be the second edition of Rotas Brasileiras which, besides the fair itself, also runs parallel events and products such as an artist residency, special curatorial projects and themed audio guides coordinated by guest curators. SP-Arte, which organises Rotas Brasileiras, is one of the most long-standing art fairs in Brazil and is turning 20 in 2024.
